Looking back on the totality of this blog, I’ve become even more aware of the talent shown in many of the spanking stories you have submitted. Rereading many of them, I’m again amazed at the sheer volume and quality of original spanking fiction that’s passed through the blog, from a lot of really dedicated writers.
So I’m tossing around an idea for a large compilation – an ebook – of great spanking stories.
The book would be a mix of reader-submitted stories and requested new writings from some of my favorite spanking authors.
What do you think, readers? Can the world handle another spanking ebook? I’d love your opinions on content, viability, and design. Especially if you’re a fan of spanking fiction – what draws you to the genre? And what story aspects do you consider integral?
Also, which stories already posted here are your favorites, and why?

I am sure that the Dana Kane Compendium of F/M Spanking Stories Volume 1 would be a great commercial success. I would gladly write a few more stories for you. I believe that you have to get the authors to release their rights when they submit them to you.

Well, it can be done. I now have 4 ebooks for sale on Amazon and I’m going to be creating another soon that features femdom spanking. The Amazon Kindle platform is fairly straightforward and easy to use. If you want to do a compilation of works written by others though , you first need to secure licenses to publish. Then you’ll need a cover. There are any number of photo sources who sell royalty free photography. Beyond that it’s creating the manuscript and plugging in the elements.
It’s probably a decent idea because while there is a huge amount of spanking material on Amazon, LULU, etc., there is little F/M spanking, especially of the domestic/school variety. There is a lot of BDSM-type femdom, but this strays beyond what true spankophiles are looking for.

I think a E-book would be a great idea. There is a lot of natural talent to be tapped. I really enjoy a lot of the stories around here.

I think there is always room for a new ebook in this category. Well written spanking fiction is always nice to read. I personally love any story where the trust and respect between a top and a bottom is clearly established, and I love F/F stories, though that is just a personal preference.
Dana, I think the ebook is a great idea. You’ve already given your readers a chance to submit their writing and you publish it on the site. That’s pretty special to a lot of us. Something you really don’t need to do, but it gets more people involved too.
I’m sure the video work must take a huge amount of time, but it seems like your site could also be a place where established writers could interact with and help those of us who are trying to improve our work.
Not thinking “for free” either…so, for example, I might be willing to pay the same price I would for two of your videos to have an hour of an established writer’s time reviewing a spanking story or two.
I’m sure you have many contacts through your work. Maybe it’s possible to bring those qualified/interested folk into your site in writer’s role.

It would be a great idea. A femdom spanking book by a woman femdom writer is going to be interesting on a blog or as an ebook on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and many others. Calibre ereader are great to view many formats on one ereader on the computer.
Please be sure to not have males writing femdom stories: there is not a good chemistry or synergism of this combination of author-stories.
Reality- based stories are more erotic than fantasy only stories, IMO.

Speaking from this spanko’s POV, I can definitely attest to more than just a passing interest in good quality spanking stories. They can be just as arousing and stimulating as a good vid, and they certainly demonstrate the power of the written word. The quality of stories posted at your blog is unusually high, and I believe it could be expanded into a site, or eBook, of its own.
The appeal of a good story is harder to define. Of course, the fact that someone can imagine it and attempt to put the fantasies into words means there are others of our ilk out there. The ingenious little twists and turns that so titillate, the idea that others might be interested in trying these things, the dialogue, with hints of real experience and often, very powerful fodder for the libido all add up to a delicious experience.
For this writer, adding the touches of personal experiences with our webmistress, the idea that something I might write just may bring a big smile to her gorgeous face (or even get her imagination and desires flowing) is a huge inspiration.

Hi I am sure that the Dana Kane Spanking Compendium Vol 1 would be a popular title. Happy to contribute when you get started. It is the editing which will be the hard part but you maybe you can outsource that work.
